ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 3, 2026: ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಫಳ್ನೀರ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಛತ್ತೀಸ್‌ಗಢ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ್ ಭಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡವು , ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಆರೈಕೆ ಒದಗಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಇದೀಗ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ.

2026ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 11ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಫಳ್ನೀರ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯ MFC ಫುಡ್ ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಎದುರು ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಉದಯ್ ಭಾನ್ ಅವರ ಕುರಿತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ರಹಮಾನ್ ಕೆ.ಎಂ. ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕರೆತಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.

ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದಯ್ ಭಾನ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳಪೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಸ್ವತಃ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಭ್ರಮಾತ್ಮಕ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ವರ್ತನೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕ ಆಹಾರ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೂರವಿದ್ದು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಉದಯ್ ಭಾನ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಭೇಟಿಯಾದ ಕ್ಷಣವು ಭಾವುಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಪಾತ್ರರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮರಳಿ ಪಡೆಯುವುದು ಸಂತಸದ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಯಿತು.

Chhattisgarh Native Uday Bhan Reunited with His Family After Being Found Wandering in Mangalore

Manjeshwar, September 3, 2026: A journey that began with an act of kindness on the streets of Mangalore ended with an emotional family reunion for Mr. Uday Bhan, a native of Chhattisgarh. After receiving care, treatment and rehabilitation at Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, Uday Bhan was successfully reunited with his family with the support of Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai.

On August 11, 2026, Uday Bhan was found wandering in a vulnerable condition near MFC Food Mart on Falnir Road, Mangalore. Concerned about his condition, a member of the public, Mr. Abdul Rahman K.M., informed Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust. Responding promptly to the information, the Snehalaya rescue team reached the spot, brought Uday Bhan to safety and admitted him to Snehalaya for care and rehabilitation.

At the time of admission, he was observed to have poor personal hygiene, wandering behavior, self-talking and behaviors suggestive of delusional experiences. Considering his condition, Snehalaya provided him with medical assessment, psychiatric care, personal hygiene support, nutritious food, counselling and continuous psycho-social rehabilitation.

Alongside his rehabilitation, efforts were also initiated to trace his family. After obtaining information about his relatives, the necessary verification procedures were completed. With the collaboration and support of Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, arrangements were successfully made to reunite Uday Bhan with his family.

The reunion was an emotional moment for Uday Bhan, who had been separated from his family and living through difficult circumstances. Meeting his loved ones again brought happiness and relief to both Uday Bhan and his family members, who were grateful to see him return home safely.

The successful reunion once again reflects Snehalaya’s commitment to rescue, care, rehabilitation and family reunification. Under the leadership of Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder and Managing Executive of Snehalaya, the organization continues its efforts to rescue vulnerable and abandoned persons, provide them with medical and psycho-social care, and, wherever possible, trace their families and facilitate safe reunification.
