ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜುಲೈ 31, 2026: ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಅಲೆದಾಟ, ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ನೋವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಶ್ರಯ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ತಿರುನೆಲ್ವೇಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಳಕುಳಂ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕುರುನಾಡ ವಡಿವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಆಟೋ ಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬದರುದ್ದೀನ್ ಅವರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ  ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕುರುನಾಡ ವಡಿವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿತು.ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವತಃ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡವು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಆಹಾರ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ನೆರವು ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕುರುನಾಡ ವಡಿವು ಅವರ ದೈಹಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸೂಕ್ತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯದ ದಾರಿ ತೋರಿಸುವುದು, ಮರೆಯಾದ ನೆನಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿಳಾಸ ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಜೀವಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವಯುತ ಬದುಕು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿರಂತರ ಸೇವೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕುರುನಾಡ ವಡಿವು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮರುಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಆಶಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ.

Care and Shelter Extended to a Destitute Woman Found Wandering on the Streets of Manjeshwar

Manjeshwar, Aug 03, 2026: A woman found wandering in a vulnerable and helpless condition has been provided with safety, care, and hope through the compassionate intervention of Snehalaya. Ms. Kurunada Vadivu, a native of Alakulam Village in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, was found wandering on the streets of Manjeshwar and has been admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for treatment, care, and rehabilitation.

Mr. Baduruddeen, an auto-rickshaw driver from Manjeshwar, noticed the woman’s distressing condition and informed Snehalaya Founder Bro. Joseph Crasta. Upon receiving the information, the rescue team, led by Snehalaya Co-Executive Director Mrs. Olivia Crasta, immediately reached the location and safely brought Ms. Kurunada Vadivu to the rehabilitation centre.

At the time of admission, she was found to have poor personal hygiene, wandering behaviour, and was observed talking to herself. Recognizing her vulnerable condition, the Snehalaya team immediately provided personal care, hygiene support, nutritious food, medical attention, and psycho-social care to ensure her safety and well-being.

A comprehensive psycho-social assessment is currently underway to understand Ms. Kurunada Vadivu’s physical and mental health condition, family background, and the circumstances that led her to Manjeshwar. She is receiving appropriate medical treatment, counselling, personal care, and rehabilitation services aimed at restoring her health and dignity.

Guided by its mission of restoring hope to the destitute and reconnecting separated individuals with their loved ones, Snehalaya continues its efforts to trace Ms. Kurunada Vadivu’s family so that she can eventually be reunited with them in a safe and dignified manner.
