ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜುಲೈ 25, 2026: ಜುಲೈ 18ರಂದು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇರಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಸಂತ್ ಕಬೀರ್ ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹೋದರರು ಅನೇಕ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸುಳಿವು ದೊರೆತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಐದು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಪತ್ತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಜುಲೈ 25, 2026ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಂಧುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮರುಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಂಡರು.

ಹಲವು ದಿನಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಭಾವುಕರಾಗಿ ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಜುಲೈ 20, 2026ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಮದ್ಯದ ಅಮಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲಿನ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ತಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪಡೆಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಉಪನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ. ಎಸ್. ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಅವರು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ ಅವರು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡವು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮದ್ಯ ವ್ಯಸನ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಇರುವುದು ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮದ್ಯವ್ಯಸನದಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ತಂಡದ ಆರೈಕೆಯಡಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಫಲ ನೀಡಿ, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಸಂತ್ ಕಬೀರ್ ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತಾರಾಯಾಪಾರ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಜುಲೈ 25, 2026ರಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಅಮರನಾಥ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಂಧುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮರುಸೇರ್ಪಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Snehalaya Reunites Uttar Pradesh Man with His Family

Manjeshwar, July 25, 2026: Mr. Amar Nath, a resident of Sant Kabir Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, who had gone missing in Mangaluru after arriving in Kerala for work on July 18, was successfully reunited with his family on July 25, 2026, following timely rescue, treatment, and family tracing efforts by Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre.

After Mr. Amar Nath went missing, his wife and brother searched extensively in several places but were unable to locate him. Following five days of uncertainty, the dedicated efforts of Snehalaya’s rehabilitation team resulted in his successful reunion with his family. The emotional reunion brought immense joy to both Mr. Amar Nath and his relatives, who expressed heartfelt gratitude upon seeing him safe and healthy once again.

On July 20, 2026, Mr. Amar Nath was found at Mangaluru Junction Railway Station in an intoxicated condition. He had climbed onto the top of a railway coach and was attempting to touch the overhead electric power line, putting his life at immediate risk. Mr. D. S. Pramod, Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Mangaluru Junction, noticed the dangerous situation and recognized that Mr. Amar Nath required urgent rescue, care, and mental health intervention. He promptly informed Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust.

Responding without delay, the Snehalaya team reached Mangaluru Junction Railway Station, safely rescued Mr. Amar Nath, and admitted him to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, for medical treatment, psychosocial care, and rehabilitation.

Comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments conducted at the rehabilitation centre confirmed that Mr. Amar Nath was suffering from Alcohol Dependence Syndrome. He had no previous history of mental illness. The behavioural disturbances were found to be associated with prolonged alcohol dependence. He was provided with appropriate medical treatment, counselling, de-addiction support, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Under the dedicated care of Snehalaya’s multidisciplinary team, his physical and mental condition showed significant improvement.

Simultaneously, the rehabilitation team initiated an intensive family tracing process. Their persistent efforts successfully led to the identification and contact of his family residing under the jurisdiction of Tarayapar Police Station, Sant Kabir Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh.

On July 25, 2026, Mr. Amar Nath was formally reunited with his relatives at Snehalaya. The reunion was an emotional occasion, with family members expressing profound happiness and gratitude.

The family conveyed their sincere appreciation to Snehalaya Charitable Trust (R) and its Founder, Bro. Joseph Crasta, for rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and reuniting Mr. Amar Nath with his loved ones. They assured the team that his wife and family would take responsibility for his continued care and support. To ensure continuity of treatment, the necessary medicines were also provided by Snehalaya.

Coming from a financially underprivileged family, Mr. Amar Nath’s successful rehabilitation and reunion stand as another inspiring example of how timely intervention, compassionate care, professional treatment, and dedicated rehabilitation services can restore hope and reunite families in distress.
