Woman Found in Distress on Kasaragod Street Given Shelter at Snehalaya
Manjeshwar, July 3, 2026: Mrs. Bhavani Chathar, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was found wandering in a helpless and distressed condition on the streets of Kasaragod. Her condition came to the attention of the Pink Police, Kasaragod, who immediately informed Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya, and extended their support to ensure that she received the required protection and care.
Upon receiving the information, the Snehalaya team rushed to the spot with compassion and humanity and safely rescued her. At the time of rescue, she was found with poor personal hygiene, aggressive behaviour, and wandering tendencies.
On July 3, 2026, under the compassionate guidance of Bro. Joseph Crasta, Mrs. Bhavani Chathar was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre Manjeshwar. She was received with dignity and provided with the necessary primary care, protection, and support. At present, she is undergoing a comprehensive health and psychological assessment under the supervision of trained professionals. The Snehalaya team is providing continuous care, medical assistance, and mental health support in a safe and nurturing environment, with the hope of restoring her stability and reconnecting her with her family.
