“ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ?” ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನ ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬ…
ಆದರೆ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು 2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 18ರಂದು ಅವರ ಮಾವ, ಅತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸಿತು.
ತೆಲಂಗಾಣ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಹಬೂಬ್‌ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗುಂಡ್ಮಲ್ ಮಂಡಲದ ವೀರಂ, ವೀರಂ ತಾಂಡಾ ಮೂಲದ ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ ಏಳು ರಿಂದ ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು ಅವರು ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟೋ ಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮದ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗಾಂಜಾ ಸೇವನೆಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಸ್ಥಿರರಾಗಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬ, ಕೆಲಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜೀವನದಿಂದ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ದೂರವಾದರು.
ಅವರು ಕಾಣೆಯಾದ ನಂತರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ, ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ಫಲಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಗೈರುಹಾಜರಿಯ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಬದುಕಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ಭಯವೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು.
2025ರ ಜುಲೈ 18ರಂದು, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತಲಪಾಡಿ, ತೂಮಿನಾಡು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋವೈಕಲ್ಯದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಅವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಪತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 18ರಂದು, ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೆಲಂಗಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮಾವ, ಅತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಕಂಡ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.
ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯಾದಗಿರಿ ಅಥವಾ ಮಹಬೂಬ್‌ನಗರದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

After Three Years, Snehalaya Reunites Paramesh with His Family in Telangana

Manjeshwar, June 29, 2026: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, under the guidance of Founder Br. Joseph Crasta and with the support of Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, successfully reunited Mr. Paramesh with his uncle, aunt and cousins on June 18, 2026, after he had been missing for nearly three years.

Paramesh, a native of Veeram Thanda, Veeram, Gundmal Mandal, Mahabubnagar District, Telangana, had been suffering from mental health concerns for the past seven to eight years. Before his illness, he was working as an auto driver in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Due to mental illness and substance use, including alcohol and ganja, he became mentally unstable and gradually lost contact with his family, his work and his regular life.

His family members had searched for him after he went missing, but their efforts were unsuccessful. No missing complaint had been registered. During his absence, the family feared that he might no longer be alive.

On July 18, 2025, Paramesh was found wandering in a vulnerable condition on Thuminadu Road, Thalapady, Mangalore, showing signs of mental instability and psychological distress. He was safely rescued by the Snehalaya team and admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, where he received medical care, counselling, personal care, emotional support and rehabilitation services.

After continuous treatment, care and family-tracing efforts by Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, his identity and native place were confirmed. On June 18, 2026, Paramesh was safely reunited with his uncle, aunt and cousins in Telangana. His family members and villagers were extremely happy and emotional to see him return after years of separation.

Paramesh’s future care will be supported by his cousins and sister. Medicines were provided from the centre, and the family was guided to continue follow-up treatment at nearby government hospitals in Yadgir or Mahabubnagar.
