ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 28, 2026: ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತೆಲಂಗಾಣ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರ ಶ್ರೀ ಸತೀಶ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು.

ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮನೋ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.

ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 3, 2026ರಂದು ದಾಖಲಾದ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಆರೈಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭಾವ್ಯ ಸ್ಕಿಜೋಅಫೆಕ್ಟಿವ್ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಇರುವುದಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿತು.

ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿಳಾಸದಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಹೊಸ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಗೋದಾವರಿಖನಿ, ತೆಲಂಗಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 2022ರಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದ್ದು, ಹಿಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಂಡ ಸತೀಶ್ ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲು ನೆರವಾದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 18, 2026ರಂದು ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರ ಸತೀಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಔಷಧ ಸೇವನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಹೋದರ ಸತೀಶ್ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಮಂಚಿರ್ಯಾಲ್ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಔಷಧಿಗಳ ಅನುಸರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Ashok Kumar Reunited with His Family After Four Years Through Snehalaya’s Care and Rehabilitation

Manjeshwar, September 28, 2026: After being separated from his family for nearly four years due to mental health challenges, Mr. Ashok Kumar, a native of Telangana, has been successfully reunited with his brother Mr. Satheesh through the compassionate care, rehabilitation and family-reunification efforts of Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar.

Ashok Kumar was found wandering in a vulnerable condition in the Surathkal area by social worker and entrepreneur Mr. Kiran Kumar of Karkala, who informed Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya. Upon receiving the information, Snehalaya’s psychosocial rescue team reached the location, rescued Ashok Kumar and brought him to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, where he was provided with a safe and supportive environment. Ashok Kumar was admitted to Snehalaya on September 3, 2026, and received medical care, psychosocial rehabilitation, counselling and continuous support. During the medical assessment, he was identified as having a probable schizoaffective disorder. Following treatment and rehabilitation, his condition showed improvement, enabling Snehalaya to intensify efforts to trace his family.

As the family could not initially be traced using the old address provided by Ashok Kumar, the support of local people helped Snehalaya locate his family’s new address in Godavarikhani, Telangana. According to his family, Ashok Kumar had been missing since September 2022. He had a long-standing history of mental health concerns and had previously received treatment at a government hospital.

After meeting his brother again after several years, Mr. Satheesh expressed his happiness and heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation for their efforts in locating Ashok Kumar and facilitating his reunion with the family.

On September 18, 2026, Ashok Kumar was emotionally reunited with his brother Satheesh and other family members. The family was counselled regarding his continued treatment, regular medication and mental health care. Two months’ medication was also provided to support continuity of treatment. His brother Satheesh has taken responsibility for his ongoing care, and the family has been advised to continue his treatment and medication follow-up at a government hospital near Mancherial, Telangana.

Snehalaya’s rescue and family-tracing efforts played a significant role in bringing Ashok Kumar from the streets of Surathkal to a safe environment, providing him with the necessary care and rehabilitation, and ultimately reconnecting him with his family after nearly four years.

The reunion stands as another heartfelt example of the importance of compassionate care, psychosocial rehabilitation and restoring family connections in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
