ಗದಗ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪ ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಪ್ಪಳ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸೈಕೋ-ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಯವರು ಅವರ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಉಪನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಅರವಿಂದ್ ಅವರು, 2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 19 ರಂದು ಉಪ್ಪಳ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.
ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಅಶುಚಿತನದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ವಸ್ತ್ರಧಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮದ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತಿ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಸಿಂಡ್ರೋಮ್ (ADS) ಹಾಗೂ ತಂಬಾಕು ಬಳಕೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಆರೈಕೆ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಸಹಾಯದ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗುಂಡಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಇದೀಗ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Gadag Native Gundappa Rescued from Uppala Railway Station, Admitted to Snehalaya
Manjeshwar, June 19, 2026: Mr. Gundappa, a native of Gadag, was rescued from Uppala Railway Station and safely admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for treatment, care and rehabilitation.
The Manjeshwar Police noticed his vulnerable condition and informed the Snehalaya team. Responding to the situation, Mr. Arjun Aravind, Sub-Inspector of Police, Manjeshwar Police Station, brought Mr. Gundappa from Uppala Railway Station to Snehalaya on June 19, 2026.
At the time of admission, Mr. Gundappa was found shabbily dressed and was showing signs of Alcohol Dependence Syndrome (ADS) and tobacco use. Understanding his need for immediate care, protection and professional support, he was admitted to the centre with compassion.
Under the guidance of Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta, Mr. Gundappa is now receiving medical treatment, counselling, personal care and rehabilitation services.
Snehalaya expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Manjeshwar Police and Mr. Arjun Aravind, SI of Police, for their timely support and concern in ensuring Mr. Gundappa’s safe rescue and admission.
