ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಮೇಲ್ಪರಂಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬಾಯರ್ಪಡವು ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಮೇಲ್ಪರಂಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು, ಮೇಲ್ಪರಂಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ರಮ್ಯತಾ ಟಿ.ಆರ್. ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.

ಮೇ 18, 2026ರಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ಉದ್ದೇಶವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವುದು, ಅತಿಯಾದ ಭಯ, ನಿದ್ರಾಹೀನತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಂಡ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Snehalaya Admits Mentally Distressed Woman Brought from Melparamba Police Station

Manjeshwar, May 21, 2026: A woman identified as Ms. Vidya, a native of Bayarpadavu, Manjeshwara, Kasaragod, was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre after being found in a mentally distressed condition and brought from Melparamba Police Station.

According to sources, the matter came to light when the Melparamba Police informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta about the woman’s condition. Acting promptly on the information received, Ms. Ramyatha T.R. of Melparamba Police Station, along with the concerned authorities, safely transferred her to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for immediate care, protection, and support.

Ms. Vidya was admitted on May 18, 2026. During the preliminary assessment, she was found to be suffering from psychiatric complaints including aimless wandering, fearfulness, reduced sleep, and poor personal hygiene, indicating the need for urgent psychiatric attention, supervision, and psychosocial rehabilitation care.

The Snehalaya team has initiated essential treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation measures to support her recovery and well-being. Continuous monitoring and compassionate care are being provided at the centre as part of the ongoing intervention.
