ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಈಶ್ವರ್ ಮಲ್ಪೆ ಅವರ ನೆರವು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಹುನೈಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತರುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅದರಂತೆ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 26, 2026ರಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಹುನೈಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಅಜ್ಜರಕಾಡು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಸಮೀಪದಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Kerala-Native Hunais Receives Care and Rehabilitation at Snehalaya

Manjeshwar, October 26, 2026: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, has admitted Mr. Hunais, a native of Vadakara in Kozhikode district, Kerala, for care, treatment, and rehabilitation. He was found in a vulnerable and helpless condition near the Government Hospital in Ajjarkad, Udupi, and was brought to Snehalaya for the necessary support and rehabilitation. He is currently receiving essential care, treatment, and rehabilitation services at the centre.

Recognising Mr. Hunais’s vulnerable condition, Mr. Hareesh Poojari, a local resident of Kote Bali, Udyawar, Udupi, informed Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya, about his situation. With the assistance and cooperation of Mr. Ishwar Malpe, arrangements were made to bring Mr. Hunais safely to Snehalaya. Accordingly, on October 26, 2026, he was brought from the vicinity of the Government Hospital in Ajjarkad, Udupi, and admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre.

At the time of admission, Mr. Hunais exhibited signs of poor personal hygiene, talking to himself, delusional behaviour, and symptoms associated with alcohol withdrawal. Considering his condition, he requires medical assessment, appropriate treatment, personal hygiene management, nutritious food, and continuous professional care.

Snehalaya is currently providing Mr. Hunais with safe accommodation, personal care, nutritious food, medical assistance, and psycho-social support. Further treatment and medical supervision will be provided according to his health condition and individual needs.
