ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 16, 2026: ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಒದಗಿಸುವ ತನ್ನ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್, ಕೇರಳ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನೀಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಲ್ಪೆಯ ವೋಡಮಂಡೇಶ್ವರ ಸಮೀಪದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಅನೀಶ್ ಅವರು ಮಲ್ಪೆಯ ವೋಡಮಂಡೇಶ್ವರ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತ ಉಡುಗೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಮದ್ಯ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುಚಿತ ವರ್ತನೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅವರ ತಲೆಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯವೂ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ತಕ್ಷಣದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಶ್ರಯದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಲ್ಪೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಹೋಂ ಗಾರ್ಡ್ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿನೂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡರು. ನಂತರ ಉದ್ಯಾವರ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಮೂಲದ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮದಾಸ್ ಪಾಲಂ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನೀಶ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್.ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡುವ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನೀಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 15, 2026ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅವರು ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅನೀಶ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇದೀಗ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಜೀವನದತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿ, ಆತ್ಮಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬೆಂಬಲದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮೂಡಿದೆ.

Kerala Man Found in Distressed Condition in Malpe Receives Shelter at Snehalaya

Manjeshwar, September 16, 2026: Continuing its humanitarian mission of rescuing vulnerable and destitute individuals found helpless in public places and providing them with medical care, shelter, rehabilitation and dignity, Snehalaya Charitable Trust has rescued Mr. Aneesh, a native of Kerala, from an area near Vodamandeshwara in Malpe, Udupi district, and provided him safe shelter at its rehabilitation centre.

Mr. Aneesh was found in a helpless and neglected condition near Vodamandeshwara,

Malpe. At the time of rescue, he was experiencing poor personal hygiene, dishevelled clothing, wandering behaviour, alcohol dependency and aggressive and inappropriate behaviour. He was also found to have an injury to his head and was in need of immediate medical attention and a safe environment.

The situation came to the attention of Mr. Vinuth Kumar, Home Guard attached to Malpe Police Station, Udupi district, who took the necessary steps to ensure his safety. With the assistance of Mr. Ramadas Palam, a social worker from Udyavara, Udupi, the matter was brought to the attention of Brother Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya.

Following the intervention, Mr. Aneesh was safely admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-social Rehabilitation Centre on September 15, 2026. He is currently receiving medical treatment, personal care, counselling, protection and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation services at the centre.

After spending time in a vulnerable condition on the streets, Mr. Aneesh has now been provided with a safe, caring and supportive environment at Snehalaya. The centre hopes that, with proper treatment and rehabilitation, he will regain his health, self-confidence and dignity and eventually move towards a stable and independent life.

The support extended by Mr. Vinuth Kumar, Home Guard of Malpe Police Station, and Mr. Ramadas Palam, social worker from Udyavara, played an important role in ensuring Mr. Aneesh’s safe rescue and admission to Snehalaya. The case was also registered based on information provided by Mr. Vishwa Shetty.

Snehalaya continues its humanitarian service of rescuing vulnerable individuals who are neglected, without family support or facing psychosocial difficulties, and providing them with shelter, treatment, care, rehabilitation and an opportunity to live with dignity.
