ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ 2026 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 4ರಂದು ಕಿಡ್ನಿ ವೈಫಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಿಧನರಾದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಅವರು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ಶಿಥಿಲಗೊಂಡ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದೈಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಬಲರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಡಾ. ನಯನಾ ಅವರು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ ಅವರ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡವು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೊಂಚಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ, ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿತು. ಅಗತ್ಯ ನೆರವು ನೀಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು 2026ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 19ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ದೈಹಿಕ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಗ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Mrs. Hemavathi Admitted to Snehalaya for Care and Rehabilitation

Manjeshwar, August 20, 2026: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, which has been continuously providing rescue, treatment, care, and rehabilitation services to destitute, helpless, ill, and vulnerable individuals in need of support, has admitted Mrs. Hemavathi, a resident of Konchadi, Mangaluru, for necessary care, health assessment, and comprehensive rehabilitation.

Mrs. Hemavathi had been living alone in a dilapidated house under extremely difficult circumstances following the death of her son due to kidney failure on August 4, 2026. She was physically weak and was experiencing significant difficulty in walking. After becoming aware of her condition, Dr. Nayana informed Snehalaya Trustee Mr. Prakash Pinto, who brought the matter to the attention of Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder and Managing Trustee of Snehalaya.

Recognizing the urgent need for appropriate care and professional assistance, Bro. Joseph Crasta responded promptly. Under his guidance, Trustee Mr. Jovial Crasta and the Snehalaya team made the necessary arrangements to safely bring Mrs. Hemavathi to the rehabilitation centre.

Following the information received, the Snehalaya team visited Mrs. Hemavathi at her residence in Konchadi, Mangaluru, assessed her condition, and provided the necessary assistance. She was subsequently admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on August 19, 2026. A comprehensive assessment and care process has been initiated to understand her health condition, physical abilities, and personal care requirements.

At the time of admission, Mrs. Hemavathi was found to have poor personal hygiene, physical weakness, forgetfulness, and difficulties related to memory. Considering her present condition, she has been identified as requiring medical evaluation, nutritious food, personal hygiene assistance, psychological and emotional support, and continuous supervision.

Mrs. Hemavathi is currently being provided with safe shelter, nutritious food, assistance with personal hygiene, health assessment, necessary medical care, psychosocial support, and comprehensive rehabilitation services at Snehalaya, with compassion, dignity, and professional supervision.
