ಶ್ರೀ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಯಾದವ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ತನ್ನ ಊರು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಬಹುದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗದೆ, ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಂದ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾದ ಅವರು ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಳಿಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ, ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ನೆರವು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ತರಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಕಳದಿಂದ ಕರೆತಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೆಪಿಟಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಗುರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಸ್ವತಃ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ತಂಬಾಕು ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಬಳಕೆ ಮುಂತಾದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ಅವರ ದೈಹಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವರ್ತನೆಯು ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಬೆಂಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಎದುರಿಸಿರಬಹುದಾದ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಚಿತ ಪರಿಸರದಿಂದ ನೂರಾರು ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಬೀದಿಯೂ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆಯ ದಾರಿಯಾಗಬಹುದು. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರೊಬ್ಬರ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆ ಒಂದು ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯತ್ತ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವ ಮೊದಲ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತೋರಿದ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಡೆ ಅಜಿತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ನೆರವು ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.

Ajith Kumar Yadav, a Bihar Native Found Wandering Helplessly on the Streets of Karkala, Admitted to Snehalaya for Rehabilitation Care

Manjeshwar, August 14, 2026: Continuing its humanitarian mission of rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating homeless, destitute, and vulnerable individuals facing mental and social challenges, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre admitted Mr. Ajith Kumar Yadav, a native of Shergad, Bihar, on August 12, 2026, for treatment, safe shelter, and comprehensive psycho-social rehabilitation.

Mr. Ajith Kumar Yadav was found wandering on the streets of Karkala in a helpless and neglected condition. His vulnerable state caught the attention of Mr. Kiran Kumar, a businessman from Karkala. Seeing that Ajith appeared to be far away from his home and family, Mr. Kiran Kumar chose not to walk away. With compassion and a sense of social responsibility, he approached Ajith and ensured his immediate safety.

Mr. Kiran Kumar subsequently contacted Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, and informed him about Ajith Kumar’s condition. He explained that Ajith was in urgent need of a safe shelter, proper care, treatment, and rehabilitation support.

Following the information, necessary arrangements were made to bring Ajith Kumar under the care of Snehalaya. Mr. Kiran Kumar brought him from Karkala to KPT Circle, Mangalore, where he was safely handed over to the Snehalaya team. From there, the team brought him to the rehabilitation centre and initiated the necessary care, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation process.

At the time of admission, Mr. Ajith Kumar was observed to have poor personal hygiene, wandering behaviour, self-talking behaviour, and tobacco dependence. His physical appearance and behaviour reflected the difficult circumstances he may have endured while living on the streets without adequate shelter, care, protection, or continuous support.

For a person wandering helplessly hundreds of kilometres away from home and familiar surroundings, every unfamiliar street can become a path filled with uncertainty. In such circumstances, the timely compassion of an ordinary citizen can become the first step towards safety, dignity, and recovery. The concern and responsible action shown by Mr. Kiran Kumar ensured that Ajith Kumar received the assistance he urgently needed.

Through the timely humanitarian intervention of Mr. Kiran Kumar, the immediate response of Bro. Joseph Crasta, and the coordinated efforts of the Snehalaya team, Ajith Kumar has now moved from the uncertainty and vulnerability of street life into a safe and supportive environment.

At Snehalaya, he will receive not only appropriate treatment and psycho-social rehabilitation but also compassionate care, dignity, and an opportunity to gradually rebuild his life. The team will continue to support his recovery while making appropriate efforts towards identifying and reconnecting him with his family and native place.
