ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜುಲೈ 31, 2026: ಅಸಹಾಯಕರು, ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು, ಹಾಸನ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲ ಗೌಡ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಿ.ಸಿ. ರೋಡ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲ ಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಬಿ.ಸಿ. ರೋಡ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಮದ್ಯ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ, ತಂಬಾಕು ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಖಿನ್ನತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬೆಂಬಲದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಬಿ.ಸಿ. ರೋಡಿನ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಾದಂತಹ ಇ. ಕೆ. ಬಶೀರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ರಹೀಂ ಪಿ. ಎ. ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ತನ್ನ ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲ ಗೌಡ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.
ಜುಲೈ 30, 2026ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲ ಗೌಡ ಅವರ ಬದುಕು ಇದೀಗ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಆಶೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಯತ್ತ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

From the Streets to Safety: Snehalaya Rescues Mr. Gopala Gowda for Treatment and Rehabilitation
Manjeshwar, July 31, 2026: Continuing its humanitarian mission of rescuing and rehabilitating vulnerable individuals, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre has rescued Mr. Gopala Gowda, a native of Hassan, Karnataka, from B.C. Road, Mangaluru, and admitted him to the centre for treatment and comprehensive rehabilitation.
Mr. Gopala Gowda was found in a vulnerable and neglected condition at B.C. Road. At the time of rescue, he was experiencing poor personal hygiene, symptoms of Alcohol Dependence Syndrome, Tobacco Dependence Syndrome, and mild depression, indicating an urgent need for medical attention, safety, personal care, and psychosocial support.
The situation was brought to the attention of Snehalaya by local residents Mr. E. K. Basheer and Mr. Raheem P. A. Responding promptly, Br. Joseph Crasta, Executive Director of Snehalaya, led the rescue operation along with the Snehalaya rescue team. Mr. Gopala Gowda was safely rescued and brought to the rehabilitation centre.
He was formally admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on July 30, 2026, where he is currently receiving medical treatment, personal care, counselling, protection, and comprehensive psycho-social rehabilitation services.
Once living in distress on the streets, Mr. Gopala Gowda is now on a journey towards recovery in a safe, caring, and supportive environment, with renewed hope for a dignified future.
