ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜುಲೈ 26, 2026: ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಒಂದು ಸಹಾಯದ ಕೈ ಸಾಕು, ಬದುಕನ್ನೇ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲು. ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬಂಟ್ಸ್ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವುಡ್‌ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ಸ್ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಮಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆದು, ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಒದ್ದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫುಟ್‌ಪಾತ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕಳಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಬಿಹಾರ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಿಂಕು ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ ಯಾರ ಮನಸ್ಸಾದರೂ ಕರಗುವಂತಿತ್ತು.

ಅವರ ನೋವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರದೆ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿವಿಯನ್ ಮೈಕಲ್ ರೆಗೋ ಅವರು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರಕಿದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿತು. ಮಾತಾಡಲೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ, ದೈಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ತೀವ್ರ ನಿಶ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಿಂಕು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಾಳಜಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಜುಲೈ 23, 2026ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕ ಆಹಾರ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಬಟ್ಟೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಇಂದು ಅವರು ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದ ವೈದ್ಯರು, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ನಿರಂತರ ಆರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೈಹಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ನೀಡುವ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಯೂ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Snehalaya Rescues Distressed Woman Found Near Woodlands Hotel in Mangalore

Manjeshwar, July 26, 2026: Mrs. Rinku, a native of Bihar, was found in a physically weak and helpless condition, shivering in the rain near Woodlands Hotel on Bunts Hostel Road, Jyothi Circle, Mangaluru. Concerned about her safety, Mr. Vivian Michael Rego immediately informed Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya, and requested urgent assistance to ensure that she received the protection and care she desperately needed.

Upon receiving the information, the Snehalaya team rushed to the location without delay and approached Mrs. Rinku with compassion, patience, and humanity. At the time of rescue, she was found exhibiting wandering behaviour and severe physical weakness, clearly requiring immediate protection, medical attention, and supportive care.

On July 23, 2026, the team from the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre safely rescued Mrs. Rinku and brought her to the Snehalaya Centre in Manjeshwar. Under the guidance of Bro. Joseph Crasta, she was admitted for medical treatment, continuous care, and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation.

Immediately after admission, she was provided with essential medical care, nutritious food, safe shelter, clean clothing, personal hygiene support, and all necessary basic needs. She is currently undergoing a comprehensive medical and psychological assessment under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals and mental health experts. The Snehalaya team continues to provide her with ongoing treatment, counselling, mental healthcare services, and rehabilitation support.

Efforts are also underway to trace her family members and gather further information regarding her identity and native place. Snehalaya remains hopeful that she will soon be reunited with her loved ones.
