ಮಾದಕ ವ್ಯಸನ ವಿರೋಧಿ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ
ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಜೂನ್ 26, 2026 , : ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ವ್ಯಸನಮುಕ್ತ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತು ದುರುಪಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಸಾಗಣೆ ವಿರೋಧಿ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಲಿಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಅವರ ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ವೈದ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ. ಬಾಲಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿ, ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ದುರುಪಯೋಗವನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಸಮೂಹಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರೂ ಅಗುರುವಂತಹ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ಶುಭಾಶಯ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ವ್ಯಸನಮುಕ್ತ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿನಿಯಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸರಿತಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವಿಟ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೋಗ ಮತ್ತು ವೆಲ್‌ನೆಸ್ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರಾದ ಡಾ. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ನಿವಾಸಿyಯವರು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯ ಪಯಣವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗವು ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ದುಷ್ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕ್ವಿಜ್, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ, ಕವನ ರಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಟಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತು.
ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆನಂದ್ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಸಮಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಆಚರಣೆಯು ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತು ಮುಕ್ತ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿತು.

Snehalaya Marks International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Pavoor, Manjeshwar, June 26:Snehalaya De-addiction Centre, Pavoor, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with an awareness programme highlighting the importance of prevention, treatment, and recovery.

The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Clint Joseph, Head of the Clinical Department. Dr. Balasubramanya, Medical Officer and Psychiatrist, presided over the function and emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat substance abuse. Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder and Executive Director, delivered the greetings address.

The event was attended by Mrs. Olivia Crasta (Trustee-cum-Secretary), Mr. Jovial Crasta (Trustee), Ms. Saritha Crasta (Trustee-cum-Administrator of Snehalaya De Addiction Centre), Mrs. Lavita D Souza (Institutional In-charge), and Dr. Chandrashekar (Yoga and Wellness Trainer).

Residents of the centre presented cultural programmes, showcasing their talents and recovery journey. The Clinical Department also organized quiz, essay writing, poem writing, and skit competitions to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Anand, Psychiatric Counsellor. The celebration reaffirmed Snehalaya’s commitment to promoting a drug-free society and supporting individuals on their path to recovery.
