15 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಆಂಧ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ
ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜೂನ್ 14, 2026: ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವಡ್ಡೆ ಕುಳಯ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಜೂನ್ 11, 2026ರಂದು ಅವರ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮ್ಮ, ಸಹೋದರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಅವರು ಆಂಧ್ರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಕರ್ನೂಲ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ದುಡೆಕೊಂಡ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಚೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ನಾಪತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಅವರು ಪೆರ್ಲದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲಮಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಮಮ್ಮಿ ಡ್ಯಾಡಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಅಂಗಡಿಯ ಮಾಲೀಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆರಾಲ್ಡ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, 2025ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 27ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.
ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು, ನಗುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ದಿಕ್ಕುತೋಚದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 26 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ಅವರು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಸಹಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಊರು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ನ ಜಂಟಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮ್ಮ, ಸಹೋದರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಿದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಪರಶುರಾಮ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ, ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಔಷಧಿ ನೀಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

After 15 Years, Snehalaya Reunites Parashuram with His Family in Andhra Pradesh
Manjeshwar, June 14, 2026: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, under the guidance of Founder Br. Joseph Crasta and with the support of Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, successfully reunited Mr. Parashuram, whose real name is Vadde Kulayya, with his uncle, aunt, cousins and other family members on June 11, 2026, after 15 years of separation.
Parashuram is a native of Dudekonda village and post, under Pattikonda Police Station and Pattikonda Taluk in Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. He had been missing for 15 years, and his family had filed a missing-person complaint and searched for him in numerous places. His parents had passed away many years ago.
He was found wandering in a disoriented and vulnerable condition at the main bus stand in Perla. Mr. Jerald D’Souza, owner of the Mummy Daddy clothing store, noticed his condition and informed Snehalaya. Responding immediately, Br. Joseph Crasta and the Snehalaya rescue team safely rescued him and admitted him to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on October 27, 2025.
At the time of rescue, Parashuram showed signs of psychiatric distress, including self-talking, self-smiling and disorientation. He had been experiencing mental illness for approximately 26 years but had not received regular treatment. Before going missing, he had worked in a hotel.
Following medical treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation at Snehalaya, along with further support from Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, details about his native place and family were obtained. The joint efforts of Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation helped trace his relatives and reunite him with his uncle, aunt, cousins and extended family.
The reunion was deeply emotional. Parashuram was overjoyed to meet his family after 15 long years, while his relatives expressed heartfelt gratitude to Br. Joseph Crasta, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai for rescuing, treating, rehabilitating and safely bringing him home.
Two months of medication were provided, and the family members were counselled regarding his mental illness, the importance of regular medication and the need for proper follow-up treatment.
