13 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಾದ ಸೂರಜ್

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜೂನ್ 10, 2026: ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ 13 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೂರಜ್, ಅಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಸುರೇಶ್, ಅವರು ಜೂನ್ 9, 2026 ರಂದು ಕೇರಳದ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು.

ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಜಂಘಡ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಲಾಲ್‌ಗಂಜ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಮೆಹ್ನಾಜ್‌ಪುರ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಚಕಿಯಾ ಕಸ್ರಾವಲ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮೂಲದ ಸೂರಜ್, ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸುಮಾರು 13 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆಲ ಹುಡುಗರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ಅವರು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಸೂರಜ್ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವೆಲೆನ್ಸಿಯಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ವರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರಿಸರದ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ವೆಲೆನ್ಸಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋನ್ಸನ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ  ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸೂರಜ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, 2026ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 3ರಂದು ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.

ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯುತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಜಂಘಡ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿತು. ಜೂನ್ 9, 2026 ರಂದು, 13 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಸೂರಜ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಕ್ಷಣವು ಆನಂದಭರಿತವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಅವರ ಪೋಷಕರು, ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.

ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿರುವ, ತ್ಯಜಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಅಥವಾ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ, ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ನೀಡುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Manjeshwar, June 10, 2026: Mr. Suraj, also known as Suresh, who had been away from his family for the past 13 years, was emotionally reunited with his parents on June 9, 2026, through the continuous efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar, Kerala.

Suraj is a native of Chakiya Kasrawal village, Mehnazpur Post, under Lalganj Police Station limits, Azamgarh District, Uttar Pradesh. He had been suffering from mental illness since childhood. Around 13 years ago, he left home with some village boys and never returned. His family searched for him for many years, but they could not find him.

Suraj was found wandering in a distressed and neglected condition in Valencia, Mangalore. He showed signs of poor personal hygiene, wandering behaviour, and lack of awareness of his surroundings. The matter was brought to the attention of Snehalaya founder Brother Joseph Crasta by Mr. Ronson D’Souza of Valencia. The Snehalaya team immediately responded, rescued Suraj, and admitted him to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on March 3, 2026, for care, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Through patient efforts, Snehalaya Manjeshwar, along with Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, traced his family in Azamgarh District, Uttar Pradesh. On June 9, 2026, after 13 long years, Suraj was safely reunited with his parents. The reunion was filled with joy and emotion. His parents, villagers, and neighbours welcomed him with great happiness.

This reunion once again reflects Snehalaya’s mission of restoring dignity, identity, and family bonds to persons who are missing, abandoned, or wandering due to mental illness.
