ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಕಳೆದ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. 2026ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 10ರಂದು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತರಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಒಡಿಶಾದ ಬಾಲಾಂಗಿರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಲೋಯಿಸಿಂಘಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಹರಪಾಡಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು. 2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 28ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರ, ತಾಯಿ, ತಂದೆ, ಮಾವ, ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಸ್ವಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲೇ ಮರು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಕ್ಷಣ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರು ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಿನದಿಂದಲೇ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ, ಮಗನ ವಿರಹದ ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಶಿವ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಗ್ರಾಮವೇ ಸೇರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು, ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತೋಷಭರಿತವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಪಾತ್ರರನ್ನು ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸಿದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

Family Reunion Restores Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Odisha Man with Family After Five Years of Separation

Manjeshwar, May 28, 2026: In yet another emotional and heart-touching reunion, the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, with the support of Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, successfully reunited Mr. Shiv Prasad, whose real name is Shiba Prasad Bhoi, a native of Balangir District, Odisha, with his loving family after five long years of separation.

Mr. Shiv Prasad had been suffering from mental illness for the past seven years. He was rescued and taken under the care of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, on February 10, 2026, after he was found wandering in a mentally distressed condition. Since then, he had been receiving treatment, rehabilitation care, and compassionate support under the guidance of Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta.

Following continuous efforts by the Snehalaya team and the support of Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, his family was finally traced in Saharapada, Loisingha, Balangir District, Odisha. On June 28, 2026, he was safely reunited with his brother, mother, father, uncle, relatives, and villagers at his native place.

The reunion turned deeply emotional as his mother, who had been searching for him since the day he went missing, had reportedly lost her mental balance due to the pain and grief of separation. The entire village gathered at his home to welcome him back, and the response from family members, neighbours, and villagers was overwhelmingly emotional and joyful.

The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai for restoring their lost hope and bringing their loved one safely back home after five painful years.
