ಹೃದಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ತ (ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ಶ್ರೀ ಸುದೀಪ್ ಕೊನ್ರಾ) ಅವರನ್ನು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ಬಿರ್ಭೂಮ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿತು.

ಪಾನುಡಿಯಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಮುರಾಮತ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುದೀಪ್ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯದೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವ, ತಾನೇ ತಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು, ಅಸಂಬದ್ಧ ವರ್ತನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತುಪಾಕು ವ್ಯಸನದಂತಹ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದವು. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಅವರ ನಾಪತ್ತೆ ಕುರಿತು ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 13, 2026 ರಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ತ್ರಾಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.

ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂತಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿತು.

ಮೇ 17, 2026 ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ತಂದೆ, ತಾತ, ಸಹೋದರರು, ಅತ್ತಿಗೆ, ಮಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಅತ್ತೆಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು, ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಿಂದ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.

ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಔಷಧಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಫಾಲೋ-ಅಪ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

Family Reunion Restores Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Missing West Bengal Man with Family After Two Years

Manjeshwar, May 20, 2026: In an emotional reunion, the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre successfully reunited Mr. Pradipta, whose real name is Mr. Sudeep Konra, with his family in Birbhum District, West Bengal, after two years of separation, with valuable support from Shraddha Foundation Mumbai during the reunion process.

Mr. Sudeep, a native of Muramath village under Panuriya Police Station, had been suffering from mental illness for the past 12 years and had not received proper treatment. Following his illness, he developed wandering behaviour, self-talk, irrelevant behaviour, poor personal hygiene, and tobacco addiction. Family members stated that he also faced difficulties with villagers due to his condition. His mother had passed away four months ago. A missing complaint had been lodged by the family.

He was admitted to Snehalaya on March 13, 2026, after being found wandering in a distressed condition at Gangolli Trasi, Udupi. He was brought by Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim, a public person, after the matter was informed to Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta. Under the care, treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation support provided by Br. Joseph Crasta and the Snehalaya team, his condition gradually improved. Shraddha Foundation Mumbai also extended support in tracing and facilitating the family reunion process.

On May 17, 2026, he was successfully reunited with his father, grandfather, brothers, sister-in-law, uncle, and aunty. The reunion was highly emotional, and the response from family members, villagers, and neighbours was very positive and heart-touching. Medicines and follow-up guidance were also provided to the family for his continued care.
