ಮೂಲಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕೈರಳಿ ಹೋಟೆಲ್‌ನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಅವರು ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಆರೈಕೆ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲ ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.

ಶ್ರೀ ಸಯ್ಯಾದ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೇ 12, 2026ರಂದು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಸ್ವಯಂ ಮಾತುಕತೆ, ಭ್ರಮೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ವರ್ತನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ತುರ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

Snehalaya Admits Mentally Distressed Man Near Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore

Mangalore, May 14, 2026: A man identified as Mr. Sayyad, a native of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre after being found in a mentally distressed condition near Masjidunnor, opposite Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore.

According to sources, the matter came to light when Mr. Ibrahim, a staff member of Kairali Hotel, informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta about the man’s condition. Acting promptly on the information received, the Snehalaya team reached the location and safely shifted him to the rehabilitation centre for immediate care, safety, and support.

Mr. Sayyad was admitted on May 12, 2026. During the preliminary assessment, he was found to be experiencing poor personal hygiene, self-talk, hallucinations, and delusional behaviour, indicating the need for urgent psychiatric attention, supervision, and psychosocial rehabilitation care.

The Snehalaya team has initiated essential medical care, counselling, and rehabilitation measures to support his recovery and well-being. Continuous monitoring and compassionate support are being provided at the centre as part of the ongoing intervention.
