ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಫತೇಹ್ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಪತ್ನಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದ ನಂತರ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಸ್ಥಿರರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಯಾವುದೇ ನಾಪತ್ತೆ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2026ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29ರಂದು, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಬಂಡೂರುವೆಲ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಲಿಯಂ ಸೆರಾವ್ ಅವರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಫತೇಹ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಸ್ವಯಂ ಮಾತುಕತೆ, ಭಯಭೀತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿಂತನಾ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಫತೇಹ್ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ನಂತರ ಮೇ 10, 2026ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಮರುಮಿಲನ ಭಾವುಕ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಔಷಧಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಫಾಲೋ-ಅಪ್ ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಸಹ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Family Reunion Brings Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Missing Man After One Year of Separation

Manjeshwar, May 12, 2026: Mr. Fateh, a native of Bahorpur village in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh, was successfully reunited with his mother and brother after being missing for nearly one year through the efforts of Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre and Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai.

Fateh had been suffering from mental illness for the past four years and had not received treatment. Family members said he became mentally unstable after his wife left him and later went missing. No missing complaint had been lodged.

He was admitted to Snehalaya on March 29, 2026, after being found wandering in a distressed condition near Bendoorwell, Mangalore. The rescue was carried out under the guidance of Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta after information was given by Mr. William Serao. During assessment, he showed wandering behaviour, self-muttering, fearful behaviour, and symptoms of thought disorder, requiring psychiatric care and rehabilitation.

Under the care and guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta and the Snehalaya team, Fateh improved through treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation. He was reunited with his family on May 10, 2026. The reunion was emotional, and two months’ medicines and follow-up counselling were provided to the family.
