Humanity in Action: Auto Driver’s Timely Response Gives New Life to Mentally Distressed Man

Manjeshwar, April 22, 2026: Mr. Rajesh Savanth, a native of Usmanabad district in Maharashtra, was found in a helpless and distressed condition near Manjeshwar road, causing concern among local residents.

Noticing his situation and understanding the need for immediate help, Mr. Badhruddhin, an auto driver from Manjeshwar, informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta. Acting quickly, the Snehalaya Charitable Trust team reached the spot without delay and safely took Mr. Rajesh Savanth under their care.

After providing immediate support and protection, he was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on April 21, 2026, for further treatment and care.

At the time of admission, Mr. Rajesh Savanth showed signs of serious mental health concerns. His unstable behavior and inability to take care of himself indicated the need for continuous medical attention and proper care. The Snehalaya team immediately began necessary treatment in a safe and supportive environment.

The dedicated staff at Snehalaya are now providing medical care, counseling, psychological support, and rehabilitation services to help him recover fully. Continuous monitoring, care, and emotional support are being given to help him return to a normal life.
