ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡುವರೆ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಭಾವನಾ ಎಂಬ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತೆ ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಗಾರ್ಡನ್ಸ್, ವೆಂಕಟಾಚಲಂ, ನಿಲ್ಲೂರುದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.

ಬಿ.ಟೆಕ್ (B.Tech) ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಭಾವನಾ, ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಹುಡುಕಾಟಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತೆರಳಿದ್ದಳು. ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ವೇಳೆ ರೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಹಣ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು, ಆಕೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಈ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ತಿರುವು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 12, 2026 ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ, ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ ಮೂಲದ ಭಾವನಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಭಾವನಾ ಅವರು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಅನುಮಾನಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ವರ್ತನೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇರಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಅನುಮಾನ ಮೂಡಿದ್ದು, ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಪರಿಸರದ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕರೆತಂದು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡಿತು.

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10, 2026 ರಂದು ಭಾವನಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ (ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್) ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಭಾವನಾಳಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದರ ಗಂಭೀರತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಅರಿವು ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿತು. ಆಕೆಯ ವರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ನಂತರ, ವೈದ್ಯರು ಭಾವನಾಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಕಿಜೋಫ್ರೇನಿಯಾ (Schizophrenia) ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿರುವುದನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಕ ಆಹಾರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಫಲವಾಗಿ, ಭಾವನಾ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.

2026ರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 20ರಂದು, ಆಕೆಯ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಭಾವನಾಳನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿದ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು. ಈ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಭಾವನಾಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.

B.Tech graduate found roadside, now recovered and reunited with her family.

Manjeshwar, April 21, 2026: In a heartwarming development, a young woman named Bhavana, who had been missing for nearly two and a half months, was successfully reunited with her family from Ganesh Gardens, Venkatachalam, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, through the humanitarian efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust.

Acting swiftly on the information, Brother Joseph Crasta initiated immediate rescue efforts. The Snehalaya team reached the location without delay and safely brought Bhavana to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for care and protection. She was officially admitted on March 10, 2026.

At the time of admission, Bhavana exhibited symptoms such as wandering behavior, suspiciousness, and occasional aggression, indicating serious mental health concerns and the urgent need for structured care. She was provided with medical evaluation, counseling, personal care, and comprehensive rehabilitation services.

During treatment, it was revealed that Bhavana had been experiencing underlying mental health issues prior to her disappearance, though the severity had not been fully recognized by her family. While she had earlier undergone counseling for behavioral changes, her condition had not been diagnosed as a major mental illness.

Following detailed assessment and treatment at Snehalaya, doctors diagnosed her with schizophrenia along with other related conditions. Over a period of nearly two months, she showed significant improvement through medication, counseling, and proper nutrition.

As her condition stabilized, Bhavana gradually regained clarity and was able to recall details of her home address. Acting on this information, the Snehalaya team successfully traced her family.

On April 20, 2026, her father and brother arrived from Andhra Pradesh and were reunited with her in an emotional moment filled with relief and joy. The family expressed deep gratitude to Brother Joseph Crasta and the entire Snehalaya team for their compassionate care and dedicated service.

Assuring that her treatment would continue at a hospital in their hometown, the family safely took Bhavana back home.

This incident stands as a powerful testament to how timely intervention, compassion, and dedicated humanitarian service can restore hope and transform lives.
