Timely Intervention Brings Hope: Snehalaya Admits Man Found in Distress at Thuminadu Street

Manjeshwar, April 19, 2026: Mr. K. Karthikan, a native of Kanjipuram, Tamil Nadu , was found wandering in a confused and vulnerable condition at Thuminadu Street, Kunjathur, drawing the concern of local residents. Noticing his helpless state, Mr. Ashraf (National Distributor of Lazza Ice Cream, Thuminad Kunjathur) promptly informed the concerned team, ensuring that immediate help could reach him without delay.

Responding swiftly to the situation, the Snehalaya Team extended their support and compassion, safely bringing him to the Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre for care and protection. His condition at the time reflected clear signs of mental distress, including wandering behavior, self-muttering, tobacco dependency (TDS), and poor personal hygiene indicating the urgent need for timely intervention and rehabilitation.

On April 17, 2026, under the compassionate guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust , Mr. K. Karthikan was admitted to the rehabilitation centre. He was received with dignity, and the team immediately initiated essential care, ensuring his safety, stability, and overall well-being.

Currently, he is undergoing detailed health and psychological assessment under the supervision of trained professionals. The Snehalaya team is providing continuous care, protection, and medical support in a safe and nurturing environment, with the hope of restoring his stability and reconnecting him with his family.
