On Good Friday, Swift Action and Timely Alert Lead to the Rescue of a Distressed Man at Manjeshwar Bus Stand

In a compassionate act of service on the occasion of Good Friday , a man was found in a vulnerable and distressed condition at the Manjeshwar bus stand in Kasaragod District. The individual was later identified as Mr. Rohith Kushva, a native of Rasupur, Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Rohith Kushva was observed exhibiting concerning behaviour such as wandering, self-muttering, confusion in thought, and signs of TDS (Thought Disorder Syndrome) along with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome, indicating an urgent need for care, protection, and professional psychosocial intervention.
The situation was responsibly brought to attention by Mr. Ashraf, an auto driver from Manjeshwar, whose timely alert played a crucial role in ensuring immediate assistance. Upon receiving the information, Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta recognized the seriousness of the situation and promptly initiated action.
Acting swiftly on this Good Friday, Trustee Mr. Jovial Crasta , along with the Snehalaya team, rushed to the location and carried out the rescue operation with compassion, reflecting the true spirit of sacrifice and service.
Mr. Rohith Kushva was safely brought from the Manjeshwar bus stand and admitted on April 03, 2026, for further care, observation, and psychosocial rehabilitation in a secure and supportive environment.
