Manjeshwara, March 29, 2026: In yet another inspiring act of compassion and dedicated service, the team of Snehalaya Charitable Trust successfully reunited Ms. Amuda (37 years), a native of Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, with her family after four months of separation, restoring hope and emotional relief to her loved ones.
Ms. Amuda had been missing for the past four months, leaving her family—father, mother, and husband in deep distress. Despite their financial struggles and inability to provide proper treatment for her long-standing psychiatric condition, they had been tirelessly searching for her.
She was found in a vulnerable and distressed condition at Mangaluru Central Railway Station, exhibiting wandering behavior, decreased speech, and poor personal hygiene. The situation was first identified by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Mangaluru Central Railway Station, who promptly informed the Snehalaya team through Br. Joseph Crasta, enabling immediate intervention.
Responding swiftly, the Snehalaya team rescued Ms. Amuda and admitted her to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre on January 07, 2026, ensuring her safety, dignity, and proper care. Under continuous medical treatment, supervision, and psycho-social support, her condition gradually improved.
With persistent efforts, detailed assessments, and compassionate follow-up, the team successfully traced her family and coordinated the reunion process. Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, every step was taken to ensure a safe and respectful reintegration.
On March 10, 2026, Ms. Amuda was successfully reunited with her family, marking a deeply emotional moment filled with tears of joy and immense relief. Her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Snehalaya team for bringing their beloved daughter and wife back home.
