On January 1, 2023, Deepak, an individual found wandering near the railway bridge in Padil, Mangalore, was successfully rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. This compassionate effort was led by Bro Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, along with his dedicated team, following information provided by Mr. Jeethan Antony D’Souza, a social worker.

Deepak, observed wandering on the streets with poor self-care and shabby attire, displayed signs of slight mental health-related problems. He communicates in Hindi and claims to be from Padarathpur in Uttar Pradesh, identifying his parents as Rambabu and Sumitra.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 01/01/24 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಡಿಲ್ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಸೇತುವೆಯ ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 23ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ದೀಪಕ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಜೀತನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ(ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರು) ಅವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು, ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
