Manjeshwar, October 06, 2025: After seven long years of separation and silence, the emotional reunion of Mr.Shankar, a mentally ill man, with his family became a heartwarming and touching moment — made possible through the compassionate efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar.

Following his mother’s death, Shankar’s life took a tragic turn. Originally from Karad in the Satara district of Maharashtra, he wandered away from home due to mental illness and completely lost contact with his family.

For years, there was no trace of Shankar. Hope returned only when the team from Snehalaya Charitable Trust rescued him and provided him with shelter, care, and psycho-social support. As he gradually began to recover, the dedicated staff of Snehalaya worked tirelessly to trace his family. Though financially weak, Shankar’s father and sister had never given up hope of finding him. Finally, after years of uncertainty, their dream came true.

On August 25, 2025, Shankar was emotionally reunited with his father and sister at Snehalaya. The family expressed deep gratitude for the chance to see him again. As they were unable to provide the necessary care, Shankar was readmitted to Shraddha Rehabilitation Center for continued treatment.

Shankar’s story stands as a moving reminder of the importance of mental health, the strength of family bonds, and the selfless service of social organizations like Snehalaya.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 06, 2025: ಏಳು ದೀರ್ಘ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ವಿಭಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌನದ ನಂತರ, ಶಂಕರ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನಃ ಸೇರಿದ ಕ್ಷಣವು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಭಾವುಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿತು.

ತಾಯಿಯ ನಿಧನದ ನಂತರ ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿತು. ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಸತಾರಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಾರಾಡ್ ಮೂಲದ ಈ ಯುವಕ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು, ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸುಳಿವೂ ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಅವರ ಜೀವನದ ಬೆಳಕು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೊಳೆಯಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದದ್ದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ತಂಡವು ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಾಗ. ಅವರ ನವೀನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.
ಅವರು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು. ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿ ಅವರು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೊನೆಗೂ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರ ಕನಸು ನಿಜವಾಯಿತು.

ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 25, 2025 ರಂದು ಶಂಕರ್ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಡಲು ದೊರಕಿದ ಅವಕಾಶಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಅವರ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ಶಂಕರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
