Manjeshwar, August 15, 2025: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre and De-Addiction Centre celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great fervour and patriotism. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Station Officer, Fire Station Uppala.
Other dignitaries present included Mr. Joseph Crasta, Executive Director, Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre; Rev. Fr. Cyril D’Souza, Chaplain, Snehalaya; Mr. Prakash Pinto, Trustee of Snehalaya; and officers from the Fire and Rescue Department, Mr. Rafiq (Senior Officer), Mr. Mohammed Shafi, and Mr. Vishak.
The ceremony commenced with an impressive march past, conducted by Mr. Maclin, Psychiatric Social Worker. The programme was compered by Mrs. Lavita D’Souza, Institutional In-Charge, while Mrs. Veena D’Souza, Deputy Administrator, extended a warm welcome to the guests.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries spoke about the significance of Independence Day, underlining the values of freedom, unity, and national pride. They urged everyone to contribute towards the nation’s growth and development, both individually and collectively.
The celebration was filled with patriotic spirit, and the distinguished guests were thanked for their presence and contributions. Mr. Clint Joseph, Head of the Clinical Department, proposed the vote of thanks.
The day’s events reflected Snehalaya’s unwavering commitment to fostering a sense of community, unity, and national pride among its residents.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 15, 2025: ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ವ್ಯಸನಮುಕ್ತ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು 79ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಅತೀ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಿತು. ಉಪ್ಪಳ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಇತರ ಗಣ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಗುರು, ವಂ. ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ, ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ದಳದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಫೀಕ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಶಫೀ, ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶಾಕ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಶ್ರೀ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಲಿನ್ (ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು) ನಡೆಸಿದ ಅನುಶಾಶಿತ ಪಥ ಸಂಚಲನದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಲವಿಟ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜ (ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ) ಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವೀಣಾ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜ (ಉಪ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿನಿ ) ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.
ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತಿ ನಿಷ್ಟೆ ಗೌರವದಂತಹ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಕ್ಕೂಟವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಶೋಭೆಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಗಣ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಮರಣಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುಷ್ಪಗುಚ್ಚಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕ್ಲಿನಿಕಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಲಿಂಟ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ವಂದನಾ ಭಾಷಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ, ಸಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಭಾವನೆ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಅಚಲ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸಿದವು.
