Manjeshwar, August 6, 2025: After two years of separation, Mr.Sujeet Kumar was finally reunited with his parents, brother, and sister a moment filled with immense joy. This reunion was made possible through the efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust. It stands as a living example that no matter how many obstacles life presents, humanity and cooperation can make anything possible.
Mr. Sujeet’s struggles began in 2016 while he was pursuing an engineering degree, when he suddenly developed mental health issues and underwent long-term treatment at a hospital in Patna. Despite the years passing, peace never returned to his life. In October 2023, he traveled to Bengaluru with his brother but suddenly went missing, leaving his family trapped in anxiety and despair. Despite filing missing person reports in both Bengaluru and Patna and searching extensively, no trace of him could be found. As time went on, the family’s hopes began to fade.
On April 28, 2025, police from Gangolli Police Station found him wandering on the streets. His speech was unclear, and signs of mental illness were evident. For further care and rehabilitation, he was admitted to Snehalaya in Manjeshwar, Kasaragod district. After receiving necessary treatment, Snehalaya, with the cooperation of Mumbai-based Shraddha Foundation, ensured Sujeet’s safe return to his family. This marked the true turning point in his story. On August 6, 2025, in his home in Dhelwan village, Patna, the long-awaited reunion unfolded with tears of joy, heartfelt smiles, and emotional embraces.
Unmarried despite holding an engineering degree, Sujeet will now be cared for by his parents and sister. The middle-class family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation for their compassion and service. Government hospitals near Patna are ensuring the regular supply of his required medicines.
This heartwarming incident once again proves the invaluable role of organizations that reunite missing persons with their loved ones and revive lost hope.
ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಳಿದ ಸುಜೀತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್
ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 6, 2025: ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಜೀತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿ–ತಂದೆ, ಸಹೋದರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿಯರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳು ಬಂದರೂ, ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದು ಜೀವಂತ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ.
ಸುಜೀತ್ ಅವರು 2016ರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲತೊಡಗಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಟ್ನಾದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದರು. ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದರೂ, ಅವರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮರಳಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. 2023ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹೋದರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಆತಂಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಾಶೆಯ ಕಗ್ಗಂಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿಸಿತು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಟ್ನಾದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದವರ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರೂ, ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅವರ ಸುಳಿವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದಿನದಿಂದ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುತ್ತ ಹೋದವು.
2025ರ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 28ರಂದು, ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯವರು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ ಕರೆತಂದರು. ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಶೈಲಿಯೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಮನೋವೈಕಲ್ಯದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಗತ್ಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಸುಜೀತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದೇ ಈ ಕಥೆಯ ನಿಜವಾದ ತಿರುವಾಯಿತು. ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಆತಂಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆಯ ನಂತರ, 2025ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 6ರಂದು ಪಾಟ್ನಾದ ಧೆಲ್ವಾನ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ, ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ, ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ನಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾವಪೂರ್ಣ ಆಲಿಂಗನಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಬಹುಕಾಲದಿಂದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.
ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರೂ ವಿವಾಹವಾಗದ ಸುಜೀತ್ ಅವರ ಆರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಈಗ ಅವರ ತಂದೆ, ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರಿ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದ ಈ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ತಾವು ತೋರಿದ ಕರುಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದವರಿಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯವರಿಗೂ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ. ಪಾಟ್ನಾದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಔಷಧಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
