Manjeshwar, July 15, 2025: A 42-year-old man named Deepchandh, originally from Patna, Bihar, was found wandering near Surathkal Junction in Mangalore, displaying signs of severe mental instability. Witnessing the situation, Mr. Kiran, a resident of Karkala, immediately alerted Br. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya.
In a compassionate act, entrepreneur Mr. Kiran personally transported Deepchandh in his own vehicle to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar, where he was safely admitted.
According to Mr. Kiran, Deepchandh appeared highly disoriented and exhibited symptoms of serious psychiatric illness at the time of the rescue. Preliminary medical evaluations confirmed that Deepchandh requires dedicated treatment and ongoing care. He is a Hindi-speaking individual.
