Manjeshwar: In a heart-warming and emotional reunion, Sanjida Khatun, lovingly known as Sangitiya, has finally returned home after being separated from her family for four months. Her homecoming, just in time for Eid Mubarak, feels nothing short of a divine blessing for her loved ones.
Sangitiya, a resident of Phulwariya, East Champaran, Bihar, had gone missing on a fateful day when her family had attended a wedding, leaving her alone at home. Despite relentless searches in nearby villages, they found no trace of her. Tragically, no missing person’s complaint was filed due to a lack of awareness.
With a history of mental illness and no access to treatment, her struggles remained unnoticed. She had been married but later separated, living with her two sisters and brother before she disappeared.
It was only through the dedicated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust that Sangitiya was rescued by Kasaragod police on February 2, 2025. She was then admitted to Snehalaya, where she received care and treatment before being transferred to Shraddha Foundation on February 24, 2025. Their relentless commitment ensured that she could finally be reunited with her mother, brother, and grandparents on March 27, 2025.
The joy of her return spread throughout the village, with neighbours and well-wishers embracing her with open arms. For the family, this moment was nothing less than a divine Eid gift, symbolizing love, faith, and the power of community.
This inspiring reunion underscores the vital role played by organizations like Snehalaya Charitable Trust and Shraddha Foundation in reuniting lost souls with their families. Their work serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us all of the importance of compassion, mental health awareness, and the unwavering strength of family bonds.

ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮರಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು  ಸಂಗಿತಿಯಾ

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ: ಒಂದು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂಜಿದಾ ಖಾತೂನ್, [ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಗಿತಿಯಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವಳು], ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳು ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ಅಗಲಿದ್ದು, ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪವಿತ್ರ ಈದ್ ಮುಬಾರಕ್ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ, ದೈವದ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿ, ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿದಂತಹ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವನ್ನು ತಂದೊಡ್ಡಿದೆ.

ಸಂಗಿತಿಯಾ, ಬಿಹಾರದ ಪೂರ್ವ ಚಂಪಾರನ್ನ ಫುಲ್ವಾರಿಯಾ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಅವರು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಅದೇ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಅವರು ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸಮೀಪದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ, ಅವರ ಸುಳಿವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದುರದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಅರಿವಿನ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ, ಆಕೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರು ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ದೂರು ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಂಗಿತಿಯಾ ಯಾವುದೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ವಿವಾಹವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಂತರ ಪತಿಯಿಂದ ದೂರವಿದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದರಿಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹೋದರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ನ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದಾಗಿ, 2 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 2025 ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಪೊಲೀಸರ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಸಂಗಿತಿಯಾವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, 24 ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 2025 ರಂದು ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ, 27 ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2025 ರಂದು ಅವರು ತಾಯಿ, ಸಹೋದರ ಮತ್ತು ಅಜ್ಜ-ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಹೊಂದಿದರು.

ಅವರ ಮರಳುವಿಕೆಯ ಸಂತೋಷವು ಗ್ರಾಮದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹರಡಿತು. ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ವಿಶೇಷ ಈದ್ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯಾಗಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಜ್ವಲಂತ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
