Manjeshwar: On March 22, 2025, the Snehalaya team, led by Mrs. Olivia Crasta, Secretary cum Trustee of Snehalaya Charitale Trust (R), successfully rescued a 35-year-old woman, Pooja, and her 1-year-old child from Mangalore Junction Railway Station. Pooja was found in a vulnerable state, has been admitted to Snehalaya Women’s block, where she is receiving vital care and support.
Upon rescue, Pooja was found in a state of poor personal hygiene and communicated primarily in Hindi. Initial assessments indicate that she might be suffering from psychiatric issues. The Snehalaya team is providing her with necessary medical attention and emotional support.
