Manjeshwar : 19th January, 2025 – Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre witnessed a heartwarming moment of happiness and gratitude as a brand-new washing machine was installed on its premises. This valuable addition marks a significant improvement in the daily operations of the centre, which is dedicated to providing care and support to the destitute and mentally ill.
The washing machine, generously donated by Mr. Brian Rodricks and Mrs. Lauriana Rodricks, reflects their compassionate commitment to the welfare of the residents at Snehalaya. Their thoughtful contribution will greatly ease the workload of the staff and enhance the hygiene and comfort of the canter’s residents.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Bro. Joseph Crasta, the Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, remarked, “We are profoundly thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Rodricks for their kindness. Their generous donation will significantly enhance the care we provide to our residents and streamline our daily operations.”
In a ceremonial gesture, Mr. Ashok and Mrs. Theresa cut the ribbon on behalf of Mr. Brian Rodricks and Mrs. Lauriana Rodricks. They also shared the heartfelt message sent by the donors from abroad, expressing their sentiments and steadfast support for Snehalaya’s noble mission.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Mrs. Olivia, Trustee-cum-Secretary and Ms. Sarita, Mr. Jovial, along with Mrs. Lavita, [the Campus Head, and Mr. Clint Joseph [Senior psychiatric Counsellor]. The event began with a solemn prayer of blessing led by Fr. Cyril, invoking divine grace and goodwill upon the gathering. The installation was met with smiles and applause from the staff and residents alike, as they celebrated this thoughtful gesture.
