The Menezes Family from Sasthan, headed by Shri Joseph Menezes has pledged to relentlessly to carry on Snehalaya’s Midday Meal Program for a Century.
Snehalaya Charitable Trust, a renowned charitable organization in Mangalore, has been providing midday meals daily to around 700 bystanders at the Wenlock Government Hospital for almost a decade. This most essential key service, which provides much-needed sustenance to the families of patients who often travel from distant places and cannot afford basic necessities, has been made a dream come true through the unwavering support of Snehalaya’s donors.
Now, this initiative has compelled it’s 10 years successfully. Small seed of humanity has grown wide and tall in the community across DK, Udupi, Coorg, Kerala and Chickmangalore etc. it has expanded in multiple ways beyond ones imagination.

On December 14, 2024, Mr. Joseph Menezes, Director of Fortune Life Wealth Pvt. Ltd., Delhi, and Proprietor of PTI Consultancy in Mumbai, made an epic announcement that he will ensure the longevity of this essential project for next 3 generations to come. He was talking at the celebration of his grandson Nathan’s fifth birthday, Mr. Menezes and his family have committed to provide funding for the midday meal program for the next 100 years. Their extraordinary donation of ₹3 lakhs per month, beginning from January 1, 2025, will guarantee the continued contribution, impacting thousands of lives for decades.

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಸೇವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ದಶಕದಿಂದ ವೆನ್ಲಾಕ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 700 ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೂರದ ಊರುಗಳಿಂದ ಸರಕಾರಿ ವೆನ್ಲೊಗ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಾಲಾಗುವ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹವರ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟವನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀಡುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕನಸು ದಾನಿಗಳ ಅವಿರತ ಬೆಂಬಲದಿಂದ ನನಸಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ “ಮನ್ನಾ” ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ 10 ವರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಸಣ್ಣ ಬೀಜವು ದ.ಕ., ಉಡುಪಿ, ಮಡಿಕೇರಿ, ಕೇರಳ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮುಂತಾದೆಡೆ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಇದು ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗೂ ಮೀರಿದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶಾಲವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದೆ ಹಾಗು ಹಲವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 14, 2024 ರಂದು, ಫಾರ್ಚೂನ್ ಲೈಫ್ ವೆಲ್ತ್ ಪ್ರೈವೇಟ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ ನವದೆಹಲಿ ಇದರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿರುವ PTI ಕನ್ಸಲ್ಟೆನ್ಸಿಯ ಮಾಲಿಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಮಿನೆಜಸ್ ಅವರು ಮುಂದಿನ 3 ತಲೆಮಾರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದಾಂಜು 100 ವರುಷ ಸದರಿ ಮನ್ನಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಣೆ ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
