In a deeply moving reunion, 65-year-old Shankaran C from Shornur finally reunited with his family on November 21, 2024, after six long months of separation.Shankaran went missing in June, leaving his family in despair as they searched tirelessly for him. On June 5, the compassionate team at Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre found him disoriented and struggling with dementia in Arikkad, Kasaragod. At the time, he appeared frail and confused.Over several months, Snehalaya’s team provided dedicated care, medication, and counseling. Shankaran gradually regained his strength and began to remember his name and home. This breakthrough allowed his family to be contacted, leading to an emotional reunion filled with tears and gratitude.

For Shankaran’s family, the reunion felt miraculous, marking the end of months of anguish and sleepless nights. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to Snehalaya, whose efforts reunited them with their beloved Shankaran—a powerful testament to hope and compassion.
