Malati Bera, a resident of Purbo Medinipur, West Bengal, has been reunited with her family after seven months, thanks to the combined efforts of Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation. Malati, who suffers from mental illness, had gone missing multiple times in the past. On one occasion, she was found as far as Jammu and Kashmir. Due to previous experiences, her daughter was initially hesitant to bring her back.However, after receiving counseling and support, her daughter agreed to take her in, and Malati’s grandson has now taken responsibility for ensuring she receives her medication regularly. On August 12, 2024, the Snehalaya team rescued Malati and after the recovery she has been shifted to Shraddha Foundation, for the reunion process. Following this, she was successfully reunited with her family, where she is now receiving the care she needs.Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation, Malati is back home and being well cared for by her loved ones.
