In a heartwarming tale of resilience and redemption, Snehalaya, a psycho-social rehabilitation center, has successfully reunited Vinod, affectionately known as Belly, with his mother and brother in Kanjara Village, Madhya Pradesh.
Vinod’s journey began in 2018 when he went missing from his family due to mental illness. Poverty and lack of resources hindered his family’s search and treatment efforts.
On August 7, 2024, Mr Prakash Pinto Trustee of Snehalaya along with his friend, rescued Vinod from Mangalore Airport Road and admitted him to Snehalaya. Through dedicated efforts, the team discovered Vinod’s true identity and located his family.
Counseling and support from Snehalaya helped Vinod’s family overcome initial hesitation, stemming from past intermittent reunions. Vinod’s brother expressed gratitude for Snehalaya’s intervention, saying, “We thought we’d never see him again.”
Vinod has been provided with two months’ medication, and his family received guidance and resources to ensure a smooth reunion.
Snehalaya’s Director Mr Joseph Crasta stated, “Vinod’s story showcases the transformative power of love, acceptance, and support. We’re proud to have played a part in reuniting this family.”
ದಿನಾಂಕ 07.08.2024 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಾವೂರು ಬಳಿಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಬೆಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 30 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೋರವರು ಅವರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದ ಸ್ಟಾನ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಜೇಸನ್ ಇವರ ಸಹಾಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ರೀಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆ‍‌ಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 16.10.2024ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ದಾಮೋಹ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು.ಆರು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನ ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ವಿನೋದ್ ಮತ್ತು ಈತ ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
