In a heartwarming rescue, Snehalaya, a haven for the homeless, saved 29-year-old Shiva, found wandering near Mangalore’s State Bank bus stand on October 6, 2024.
A native of Andhra Pradesh, Shiva was admitted to Snehalaya’s Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Men. Initial assessments revealed:
– Wandering behavior
– Poor personal hygiene
– Self-muttering
– Tobacco Dependence Syndrome (TDS)

ದಿನಾಂಕ 06.10.2024 ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಳಕಾದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶಿವ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 29ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
