On September 30, 2024, the Snehalaya team rescued a 43-year-old man named Mr. Pinto Kumar, who was found wandering in Paivalike, Kasaragod. His native place is yet to be identified. He has been admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Men.
When Mr. Pinto Kumar arrived at Snehalaya, he had poor hygiene, was shabbily dressed, and was communicating in Hindi. Psychiatric assessments suggest that he exhibits symptoms such as wandering behavior, talking to himself, and smiling to himself. He is known to consume alcohol and tobacco.
