Suresh finds his home after spending 12 years on streets

Suresh, a mentally ill patient was rescued and admitted to Snehalaya on 19th January 2020, from Subramanya. During the admission he said his name as Raja.  Timely medical assistance, counselling transformed Raja, to take active part in all the activities of Snehalaya, and he began to share about his family details.

He is the native of Dhanbad District of Jharkand state. And he shared that his actual name is Suresh. Snehalaya then contacted Shraddha Rehabilitation foundation, Mumbai and sent Suresh to Mumbai for further process of rehabilitation. His house was identified, home survey was conducted and it was a great joy for the family members to find Suresh after a span of 12 years.

Suresh has his surviving parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. They expressed their gratitude and said “we are seeing him after 12 years. We had given up hopes of meeting him ever”. They were surprised to see the changes in him and his health. The family is grateful to Snehalaya, where Suresh got new lease of life. This re union was sweetest part of our life, the family said.

Suresh is the eldest son in their family. He was suffering from mental illness. Treatment was given by the family. But one day he went missing & disappeared.  His whereabouts were not known. All efforts to find him had failed. Now Suresh found his home and family after 12 long years.
