On 11th October 2021, Snehalaya Charitable Trust celebrated World Mental Health day with the presence of ; Smt. Sunitha K. P, (Judge MACT), Chair Person, Taluk Legal Service Committee, Kasaragod, Shri. Dinesh K Section Officer, District Legal Service Authority, Kasaragod, Shri. Vasanth N, Superintendent, MACT, Shri. Joseph Crasta, Executive Director, Mrs. Olivia K.L, Trustee cum Secretary, Mrs. Josiliya Treeza Crasta, Trustee of Snehalaya.
Smt. Sunitha K. P, (Judge MACT) appreciated and congratulated Bro. Joseph Crasta for providing love and shelter for the residents of Snehalaya who were earlier wanderers on the streets without food and care. Smt. Sunitha K.P added that by participating at this function she could experience the joy and happiness of the residents which is important part of the mental health.
Shri. Dinesh K Section Officer, DLSA pointed out the importance of mental health to live happily and healthy. He appreciated all the activities of Snehalaya which are supporting for the recovery and rehabilitation of the residents.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day Snehalaya has conducted drawing competition for the residents and the prizes were distributed for the winners. The residents along with the support of Staff of the Snehalaya presented a skit on the importance of mental health and performed various other cultural programmes
Mr. Thomas, Psychiatric Social Worker of Snehalaya, welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Veena D Souza, Manager (Administration) extended the vote of thanks. Miss. Bibina, Psychiatric Social Worker compared the programmes.
