Under Pratyasha Project Seetaram aged 67 was brought to Snehalaya, Manjeshwar on 16.03.2022 from Kripa Bhawan, Kannur for reunion process. At the time of his admission at Snehalaya it is observed that he is still having symptoms of psychiatric problems. Treatment was continued for him and he was encouraged to participate in therapeutic activities including counselling sessions. According to the information received during the counselling sessions team Snehalaya tried to get the details of his native. After few days he shared that he hails from Azamgarh of Uttarpradesh. Our team members contacted Police, Officials and others to get more information about his family. Finally, team members were successful in contacting his brother and after the telephonic conversation, on 26.03.2022 his nephew, Surendar Yadav and his Cousin came to Snehalaya. Snehalaya family witnessed a joyful moment of reuniting Seetaram with his family.
Seetaram nephew told that his wife has passed away at the time of delivery and due to his mental illness, he went missing 18 years ago. Team Snehalaya provided the medicines and further treatment plan. They promised that they will take good care of him. The family was very delighted to see him alive after 18 years. They were thankful towards Snehalaya Manjeshwar and Kripa Bhavan for providing shelter, care, treatment and reuniting him.
