Chellama was admitted to Snehalaya on 05/10/21 as she was rescued from old Kasargod bus stand by Mahila Mandhiram of Paravanadkam. During her admission at Snehalaya it is found that she had mental and physical health issues. Because of stroke her left side is partially paralysed.
After the proper medication she was encouraged to participate in all our scheduled and therapeutic activities. She was given counselling sessions too. She was improving day by day. She shared few details of her family and native.
Team Snehalaya came to know that she hails from Tamilnadu. After contacting the Panchyath, Police and Lay Leaders on 24/03/22 our Social Workers travelled to Ogaiyur of Tamilnadu. They contacted the Velanchira Police Station and informed about Chellama. Police was cooperative and they immediately contacted her husband, Muthuswami. He came to meet them after a few hours. He said that Chellamma had psychiatric problems and left her home 6 years ago . She is a mother of two children Arul and Thayyanayaki. Son is a driver and daughter has got married.
Muthuswami was very happy to receive back his wife who was missiong from many years. He was grateful towards Snehalaya Manjeshwar for providing shelter, taking care of Chellamma and for the great help by reuniting the family again.
