Darshana Devi aged about 82 years was rescued on 03/03/22 by Br Joseph Crasta and team Snehalaya from Mangalore Central Railway station, based on the information received by Railway Police. She couldn’t remember anything and was crying helplessly. She was brought to Snehalaya and admitted at Psycho – Social Rehabilitation Home for Women.
It is found that she is suffering from mild Dementia and other psychiatric issues and was provided with necessary care and treatment. The love and care along with the medication helped to improve her condition. She shared the information about how she was lost and separated from her family.
She told about her daughter at Haryana and our team collected the information and traced her address. After contacting and having telephonic discussion with her daughter and family they were happy to know about their mother. They assured their visit to Snehalaya.
on 21/06/22 Darshana Devi’s daughter Mrs. Pinki and Son-in-law Mr. Rajkumar came to Snehalaya.
They were happy to see her after 4 years of missing. She had four children. They also told that Darshna Devi had mental issues since past 10 years and left home. They had lost all the hopes to see her again but when they received a phone call from Snehalaya informing about their mother they were filled with joy and happiness.
They were highly indebted to Snehalaya Manjeshwar for making this reunion possible. They were grateful for the care and treatment provided to Darshna Devi and were thankful for all the selfless service offered .
