Mohammad Ali aged 60 years was brought to Snehalaya on 27/07/22 by Mr Jijin V. Technical assistant and divisional officer of revenue department , Kasargod.
At the time of admission, he had poor eyesight and old age-related health issues. Also he had psychiatric symptoms like autistic thinking,, doubtfulness and auditory hallucinations.
Due to highway construction, his house was razed to the ground. So he had to live in a tent . When he got admitted to Snehalaya, he was provided with healthy food and required treatment. Along with the care and treatment he was encouraged to participate in different sections of therapeutic activities. He was also given counselling sessions. His physical and mental condition improved and he started to become more sober. During one of the counseling session he shared the details of his native and family. Our team tried to contact his family.
On 14/09/22 his brother Mr Mehamood and his nephew Mr Sameer came to snehalaya to take him back home.
He was reunited with his family. At the time of reunion his brother shared that he left home at the age of 30 and since then he lived in the place where he was working as an electrician and a plumber.
They were happy to see him again that too in a healthy state.
They were very grateful towards Snehalaya, Manjeshwar and Mr Jijin who brought him to Snehalaya. They offered their gratitude for the kind gesture and selfless services of Snehalaya Psycho- Social Rehabilitation Centre.
