Kasaragod: The Social Justice Department in Kasaragod organized a heartfelt celebration in honor of Mother Teresa Day at Snehalaya, a shelter for the homeless and destitute. The event, which took place on 26/08/2023 aimed to pay tribute to the humanitarian efforts of Mother Teresa and highlight the importance of compassion and care for the marginalized.

The event began with a tribute to the life and works of Mother Teresa, highlighting her selfless service to humanity and her unwavering commitment to alleviating the suffering of the less fortunate.

Various activities were organized to mark the occasion, including a prayer session for the well-being of the residents of Snehalaya, musical performances, and an interactive session on the principles of empathy and social responsibility.

The Department also extended its support by providing essential supplies, to the residents of Snehalaya. Officials emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to create a more inclusive and compassionate society where everyone’s rights and dignity are respected.

Speaking at the event, Joseph Crasta the Founder of Snehalaya, expressed their gratitude to the volunteers and staff of Snehalaya for their continuous dedication to serving the homeless and destitute.

26/08/2023 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮದರ್ ತೆರೇಸಾರವರು ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವಾಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಳಜಿಯ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮದರ್ ತೆರೇಸಾ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು,  ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರೀಕನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ತತ್ವಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂವಾದಾತ್ಮಕ ಅಧಿವೇಶನ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ನೀತಿಯುಕ್ತ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೋರಂಜನಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು .

ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಘನತೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂತರ್ಗತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ, ನಿರಾಶ್ರಿತರು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಮದರ್ ತೆರೆಸಾ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯು ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ದಯೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮದರ್ ತೆರೇಸಾ ಅವರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿತು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವವರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿತು .ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತ್ತು.
