On June 10, 2023, a 42-year-old woman named Nisha, who was found wandering on the streets of Thokkottu, Mangalore, was rescued and subsequently admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre by the Snehalaya team for care and treatment. Nisha was suffering from a mental illness. Under the excellent care and treatment provided by Snehalaya, her condition improved, and she began to share information about her background.

The counselors at Snehalaya successfully traced her family, initiating the reunion process. On January 11, 2024, she was reunited with her family in Palakkad, Kerala. Her family expressed joy at seeing her again. According to them, Nisha had been dealing with mental illness for the past 20 years, stemming from relationship problems.

Nisha was given a prescribed medication and treatment plan. The entire family expressed gratitude towards Snehalaya for their selfless service.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 10.06.2023 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತೊಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಳಿಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ನಿಶಾ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 42ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.

ಆಕೆಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದಳು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡು ಬಂತು. ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಚೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಫಲವಾಯಿತು ಅಂತೆಯೆ ನಿಶಾಳ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 11.01.2024 ರಂದು ಕೇರಳ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪಾಲಕ್ಕಾಡ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು  ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿಶಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಾದ ಯಾವುದೊಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ಸುಮಾರು 20ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅನೇಕ ಬಾರಿ ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿ ಹೊಗಿದ್ದಳು.ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
