On February 11, 2023, a destitute individual named Kishan, approximately 32 years of age, was found wandering on the streets near Trasi Beach. He was rescued by the Gangolli police and social worker Mr. MH Ibrahim. Subsequently, he was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.
Kishan was suffering from a mental illness and exhibited psychiatric symptoms such as irrelevant talk, wandering behavior, and poor self-care. After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved. In counseling sessions, he began to share his whereabouts, leading to his transfer to Shraddha Mumbai for further reunion processes.
On January 23, 2024, he was successfully reunited with his grandparents in Morbi, Gujarat, after a long gap of 5 years. His family expressed immense happiness at his return. According to his family, Kishan was working in a small company, but due to land disputes, he developed mental illness, and lack of proper treatment exacerbated his condition.
The family’s response was very positive, and they expressed gratitude to Snehalaya and Shraddha centres for their selfless service. Kishan was provided with one month of medication and a treatment plan to support his ongoing recovery.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 02/11/2023 ರಂದು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತ್ರಾಸಿ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದ ಬಳಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸುಮಾರು 32 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಕಿಶನ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ MH ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂರವರು ಗಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಪೋಲಿಸರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 23.01.2024 ರಂದು ಗುಜರಾತ್ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೊರ್ಬಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬ 5 ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆದು ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಿಶನ್ ಯಾವುದೆ ಒಂದು ಜಾಗದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ರೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದನು ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸಿಗದ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿತು.
ಆತನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದರು ಹೃದಯಂತರಾಳದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಶೃದ್ದಾ ತಂಡವು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಔಷಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.
