Local residents near the Talappady border of Kerala and Karnataka were alarmed on 18-03-24 when they encountered a disoriented man aged 46, wandering and displaying signs of distress. Witnesses reported that the man appeared agitated, attempting to leap in front of passing vehicles, prompting concerns for his safety and well-being.
Introduced himself as Prakash, the man Spoke in Kannada and provided limited information, including the names of his parents, Sangappavelichappadu, and Madhavi. However, his mental state seemed compromised, recognizing the need for urgent intervention, local authorities contacted Snehalaya, a prominent organization known for its dedication to aiding individuals in crisis. In a swift response, Brother Joseph Crasta and the compassionate team from Snehalaya arrived at the scene to assess the man’s condition and provide necessary assistance.
Upon evaluation, it was determined that Prakash required medical attention and specialized care to address his mental health needs. Therefore, Snehalaya took responsibility for his rescue and subsequent rehabilitation, ensuring that he receives the support and treatment essential for his recovery.
As efforts to locate his family or responsible guardians continue, Snehalaya remains committed to providing Prakash with a safe and nurturing environment, fostering his journey towards healing and eventual reunification.
